Boiler Management
Systems
The HeatNet boiler control is designed to provide RBI Fusion
and Futera Series (III & XLF) boilers with an integrated boiler
management system. HeatNet systems provide precise system
control, repeatability and feedback thru digital communication.
The control monitors boiler temperatures and limit circuit
inputs to maximize turndown ratios to maintain peak effi ciency
through 5 temperature setting inputs: outside air, outlet (supply)
water temperature, inlet (return) water temperature, header
temperature and boiler stack temperature.

HeatNet is capable of operating RBI units as single boilers,
multi-boiler Master/Member networks of up to 16 boilers and
also boiler units connected to independent Building Management
Systems. Using the HeatNet integrated boiler management
system virtually eliminates wall-mounted control panels and
offers easy to read displays with intuitive control menus.
The control confi guration “learns” the applications optimal
ring rates by using microprocessor electronics to monitor time-
average responses based on actual usage to determine the load
for the system for optimal energy effi ciency. Standard HeatNet
controls use a Modbus protocol with optional protocessor boards
for BACnet and LonWorks based building management systems.
Variable control settings for Mod/Max fi ring rates allow
adjustable maximum fi ring rates enabling all boilers to run at
extremely effi cient levels until all units in the sequence have
red at which time fi ring rates can increase above the standard
setting to meet system demands. Boiler fi ring rotations can
be programmed for fi rst on/fi rst off, rst on/last off or “True
Rotation” which rotates boiler run-times so that all units run for
the same amount of time.
Electronics are located in a self-contained control enclosure
through which all internal components and terminal blocks are
easily accessed via a hinged, swing open door panel on the front
of all units.
